Photography, while focused on capturing moments, accumulates the results of the shutter, and the sights encountered during the process are vividly remembered and clearly imprinted in the mind. The thoughts that flood in after pressing the shutter are like a reservoir, continuously pouring into my brain, shedding light on unspoken nuances of the images. This prompts a gradual integration of hand-drawing and imagery. The 2001 photography exhibition "Owning Solitude" mentioned: gazing at the image, these captivating color blocks, framed within the visual tension reflected and the imaginative continuity of the image. The piece "Owning Solitude - Insight-015" is one where light dances within a net, with the gaps in the mesh evoking emotional dialogues, serving as expressions of conversation and imaginary scripting. The work "Shadow" is a combination of "Insight-015" net and my daughter's portrait; perhaps it reflects my own upbringing at the tail end of a patriarchal society. As time flows into the focal point of parent-child interaction, I piece together memories of family, attempting to traverse the net to observe and understand the connections between us.
