The frame captivates me, while the world beyond it leads me to deeper contemplation. The image formed from the retina behind the lens, the revolution in my mind reveals the truth behind the imagery. The year 2012 introduces the concept of merging clear and blurred images, with a similar profile to that of the 'Stairs of Wisdom,' inspired by the steps photographed in the Jiu Fen area in 2010, thus earning its name. It expresses an inner upward thinking.

I reflect on this side profile reminiscent of a practitioner. My heart seems to respond to a faint calling, pondering over thoughts that are tangled within, a calm contemplation allowing the logic to unfold clearly and sequentially, refining my muddled thoughts and washing away my attachments. "Perhaps it is like the traces left by Old Can's travelogue; only after the shutter is pressed do we sigh that the moment has become a memory." Indeed, photography can transform our memories, turning what we have traversed into a landscape of the soul. Andreas Gursky states, "The least means express the most meaning." I ask myself, is pressing the shutter truly what I see? Is the moment after the shutter closes actually the beginning of a series of questions, entering my own imagery crucible? Therefore, the journey of representing and recreating memory is a path that you and I can explore together.
