Introduction
"Tianshan Red Rhyme No. 1" is not an objective depiction of the natural landscape, but rather a construction of mountains and waters that originates from the heart and soul. The artwork presents a striking contrast between the majestic ochre-red earth and the clear green sky; the interplay of warm and cool tones flows and merges, giving the mountains and rivers a sense of breathing life, while allowing viewers to feel the rhythm and spirit of the universe. The artist deliberately minimizes the representational aspects of the mountains, using fluid brushstrokes and layers of shading to transform the real scenery into a mental landscape, making nature not merely an object of observation but a realm for spiritual exploration.

He Yimin is deeply influenced by Zhuangzi's philosophy, and what his work seeks is not the reproduction of mountain and water forms, but the expression of "心意" (intention of the heart) and "道" (the way). The mountains depicted in the painting are both the Tianshan and the mountains within the artist's heart; the light breaks through the peaks, symbolizing the flow of the universe's energy that circulates all things, representing life's freedom and transcendence within the blend of reality and illusion. As viewers gaze at the painting, they seem to embark on a leisurely journey along the colors and atmosphere, experiencing the unity of "Qi, Li, and Dao" emphasized by traditional Chinese aesthetics between the tangible and the intangible, while showcasing He Yimin's unique artistic charm in interpreting Eastern philosophical thought through contemporary painting vocabulary.
