This is my first oil painting, which I started as early as the year 2000. After many pauses and revisions, I finally completed it in 2018. The figure in the painting is modeled after my brother, who is passionately obsessed with racing pigeons. From his face, and based on what I know about the racing pigeon enthusiasts—known as "strong competitors" in the industry— one can observe the unique expressions that emerge during the process, from selecting breeding pigeons to training young pigeons for competitions. During this time, they are filled with enthusiasm and confidence, often displaying those distinctive expressions of "I will definitely win" and "dreams come true"!
