This work is my personal profound meditation on the "duality of humanity," exploring how art and instinct coexist. My inspiration stems from observations of nature and archetypes; the painting utilizes the "frog," which moves between water and land, to showcase dual characteristics, and employs the "violin," a symbol of creation and spirit, to concretize my philosophical reflections—art is the key that gives meaning to our rough desires for existence.
I hope to guide the viewer to experience a tension of contemplation and to reflect on their own primal instincts and creative actions, which actually stem from the same pulsation of life. I do not want you to choose between aesthetics and the demands of reality, but rather invite you to collectively experience: life is, at the same time, about playing melodies and capturing the insects that sustain existence. To convey this idea, I have chosen a figurative surrealist style and presented it in oil painting, attempting to bestow a sense of timeless solemnity to this absurd yet profoundly philosophical theme.
