Introduction
"Château de l'Arc" reflects the life changes of the artist after the birth of his daughter in 1963, shifting the focus of his work towards family and daily life. The composition employs a distant perspective, with two cypress trees prominently occupying the foreground. Although the castle is small, it becomes a warm core due to the concentrated light, blending sunset and greenery to evoke the emotional imagery of "home." In a context where abstract art was highly regarded in France at the time, the artist insisted on figurative creation, often isolating himself and immersing in his work to seek solace through art. He believed that painting should be felt rather than analyzed, and his works and spirit continue to influence later generations.
