In my artwork, I depict the vitality of creation through a concise and powerful composition. Each color area and block in the scene is arranged in incremental or decremental sequences, or layered arrangements, transforming the forms and colors of nature into a numerical aesthetic.
In terms of composition, the sequence of color blocks adheres to the principles of "repetition" and "gradation," shaping a naturally harmonious atmosphere that expresses the grandeur of towering mountains through density and spaciousness. Using Western oil paints, I present a dreamy landscape akin to poetry, infused with Eastern Zen notions.
In my artistic creation, I take nature as my teacher with a sense of reverence; pursuing nostalgia for all things; deeply critiquing contemporary art; and reflecting on the current societal life. All these elements are subtly expressed in my works, allowing viewers to perceive and experience them.
The creative journey over the past 30 years, intertwined with various circumstances, has been a process of reflection on myself and society as I age. In pursuing contemporary art, my heart fills with the impact of numerous situations within society, deepening the sentiment for my hometown that continuously burns within me. As time accumulates, my understanding of art grows and thrives, transforming various joys and sorrows into another source of creative power.
These elements infuse my works with the strongest lyrical expression, allowing me to freely unleash my creativity with each creation. In other words, each piece is infused with different vitality and passion for creation, as well as varied understandings of different stages of life.
