Huang Suling's "Auspicious Surplus" elegantly combines natural lacquer with pure gold and silver powder to create a splendid visual feast. The artwork depicts two fish intertwined in a graceful dance, symbolizing abundance and prosperity through flowing lines. These fish not only capture the essence of mythical creatures but also blend Eastern and Western auspicious symbols. The carving and gold techniques highlight the brilliance of the gold leaf, adding depth and texture. The dark background enhances the luminous beauty of the fish, merging tradition with modern creativity.
