In "The Soaring Dragon," Suling Huang captivates the viewer with the symbolic confluence of Eastern and Western mythical creatures, realized through the medium of natural lacquer. The dragon, coiling through golden and orange clouds, chases a radiant sun, embodying strength and auspicious fortune. The exquisite technique of carved gold inlay gives the dragon's scales a vivid texture, adding a three-dimensional dynamic. By masterfully integrating gold and silver powders with natural lacquer hues, Huang achieves an elegant, majestic visual impact. This artwork transcends technical mastery, serving as a heartfelt interpretation of life's essence and traditional craft.
