Introduction
The work intertwines vibrant colors, metallic textures, and traditional floral patterns, attempting to connect land memory, natural life, and contemporary visual experience. Light and flowers are symbols of nature, as well as metaphors for the continuity of life and culture; seemingly separate individuals traverse and coexist on the same land, much like different thoughts and consciousnesses influencing each other over time, gradually constructing a unique life form characteristic of the island.

However, the "island" I observe is not merely the land and scenery before me. Each person views the world through their own memories, experiences, and perceptions, producing different "othernesses." While we think we see the same island, in reality, each person's inner self reflects a different Taiwan.

The flowing, divided, and traversing forms in the image reflect the constant oscillation of consciousness between reality and memory. Some are obscured, some are revealed, some are what we perceive as real, while others exist beneath layers of consciousness, yet to be seen—our true nature. Light thus illuminates not just the external scenery but serves more as an inward gaze—piercing through tangled thoughts and experiences to rediscover our most genuine connection with the land.

The island is both a piece of land and a spiritual landscape composed of countless consciousnesses. Differences do not necessarily bring about separation; instead, they gradually form a shared cultural memory through repeated observation, collision, and understanding. What my creation seeks to explore is how Taiwan merges amidst its differences, coexists in diversity, and ponders how, amidst chaotic consciousness, one can transcend appearances to see oneself, see others, and rediscover this island.
