In 1995, on an ordinary morning in Fenqi Lake, I entered a dazzling tree scene in the Alishan area; in 1999, my curiosity led me to step onto the cracked, red earth of the unique geological land of the Fire Mountain; in 2005, I entered the hard granite caves of the Zhushan tunnel in Kinmen. The three individual elements of light from Alishan, soil from Fire Mountain, and water from the Zhushan tunnel "combine" these elements and scenes, creating a picture of the land's nourishment and the growth of trees. It deconstructs the normal sensory experience of "conforming to nature," as the thought of "coming together" transforms into a vivid visual image.
