Introduction
"Vision" focuses on the profile of a human figure, employing layers of different metal foils such as burnt silver, black foil, and colored foil. This creates an effect where the appearance of the figure changes under different lighting and viewing angles, presenting a mottled, shifting, and unstable hue. Through the reflective and variable properties of the foil itself, the work explores the subtle and complex relationship between "viewing" and "reality."

"Vision" is not only what the eyes see but also encompasses how we understand what we see. Human experiences, memories, emotions, and existing perceptions often unconsciously form different "alternative views," prompting us to reinterpret the world in front of us from our own standpoint. The lavish and mottled foil colors of the piece symbolize these continuously accumulating and changing alternative insights—they enrich our viewing but may also serve to obscure the surface of reality.

The silver mica pattern that horizontally traverses in front of the figure resembles a thin fog that exists between the viewer and reality, symbolizing a state of uncertainty between the true self and conscious awareness. Even with eyes wide open, what we see may not necessarily be the truth; meanwhile, the figure in the painting closes its eyes, turning the "gaze" inward rather than outward.

The work conducts an analysis and reflection on "alternative views": when external observation is influenced by layers of consciousness, perhaps true "seeing" is not about seeing more, but about transcending established perceptions and appearances to reexamine one’s inner self.
