Introduction
"Bloom" Artwork Introduction
"Bloom" uses the imagery of flowers that continue to bloom under the wash of water, symbolizing the resilience and upward life force that remains even when faced with setbacks, hardships, and changing environments. The flowers are painted in vermilion, chosen for its symbolism of warding off evil, protection, and positive energy; the flowing water marks blend into silver mica powder, creating subtle and tranquil changes in the artwork as it interacts with light.
In this piece, water represents not just the force of washing away, but also the flow of time and life. Water has no fixed form; it moves according to its surroundings, flowing through all things without attachment to shape. The large areas of almost imperceptible blank space in the painting create a sense of 'emptiness.' Flowers, water, and emptiness intertwine, illustrating the continuous state of life within the balance of movement and stillness, clarity and obscurity.
As the water flows, the flowers continue to bloom; and in the flow of the heart, attachments are gradually released, finding stability in emptiness. Through the washing of water and the blooming of flowers, the artwork expresses that after experiencing change in life, it is not merely about persistence; it is also about continuously growing and blooming in the harmony of acceptance and letting go.
