This work explores the ambiguous boundary between “private space”and “bodily desire.” The sofa is not merely an object of domestic life; it becomes a space that embodies emotional indulgence and the flow of power. Through the interplay of abstraction and figuration, the furniture is transformed into an extension of the senses.
Description:
Color Blocks and Lines:
The work abandons complex realistic representation and instead employs bold, crisp blocks of color and expressive lines. The rough, forceful lines symbolize emotional tension, while the accumulation of color creates a sense of visual weight and an eruption of energy suppressed beneath the surface.
The Female Body and the Sofa:
In the composition, the contours of the female body merge with those of the erotic sofa. Soft bodily curves intertwine with the angular forms of the sofa, making it difficult to distinguish between cold leather and warm skin. This fusion of objectification and sensuality blurs the boundary between passive inhabitation and active seduction.
The Symbolism of Red:
The visual focus centers on an expansive field of red. It represents not only blood and passion, but also functions as a dual metaphor for warning and temptation, drawing the viewer into a sensual vortex filled with tension and dreamlike intensity.
This work invites the viewer to confront the most primal and unfiltered desires concealed behind the objects of everyday life.
