The cotton flowers bloom! Spring speaks through the cotton flowers!
What I have painted is an encounter between the blooming cotton flowers and a green-eye bird in the branches during spring. The colors in the artwork are vibrant yet gentle, with the background rendered to create a soft halo and depth, making the main subject stand out and giving off a dreamlike atmosphere.
The cotton flowers dominate with an orangish-red hue, their petals overlapping in layers, some fully blossomed while others are still budding, full of the rhythm of life. The interplay of light and shadow among the petals gives a sense of moisture, while the intricate details of the flower’s center reveal a blend of pollen and ink, showcasing delicate creativity found in nature!
