These days, we often hear the phrase "be yourself," but what does it really mean to be yourself? One day, I received a photograph of a pea flower taken by a friend in their garden. Just a simple flower, standing tall! I am a self-taught painter, and I usually paint what moves me. At that moment, I got my friend’s permission to use the photo as a reference, and I slowly worked on it, even wearing my fingers down in the process!

After finishing the painting, I happened to read Song of Solomon 8:12, which implies that one is the master of oneself. Thus, I named this piece "Be Yourself." I moved myself through this creation, and I hope that anyone who happens to see the painting will also feel their own sense of being themselves. May God bless you!
