The painting features four figures, each engaged in their own reflections: one is deep in thought, another savoring a smoke, a third enjoying a bowl of noodles, and the fourth capturing fleeting digital moments. These actions reveal their individual attitudes towards the passage of time and fate. Notably, the figure who has chosen to end their life resonates with Heidegger's concept of "being-toward-death" from "Being and Time"—only by confronting death can an individual tear through the mist of the mundane and rediscover authentic existence. After all, in the cycle of life, everyone possesses the right to make choices, reshape themselves, and transcend the trivialities of the world.
