Intro
"Clown Phobia" is a fictional crime evidence board that delves into the fears some people have of clowns. Set against the backdrop of International Clown Week, it imagines an investigation into clowns, weaving together the collected "evidence" to tell a chilling story. A charred clown fabric serves as key evidence, accompanied by photographs, handmade stone-clay brooches (not included in the exhibition), and vivid textures. Interconnecting red strings form a chaotic web, symbolizing the detective's complex pursuit of answers. The burnt fabric not only suggests destruction but also hints at a sinister backstory, blurring the lines between victim and villain. This work reinterprets the essence of clowns, shifting from their playful, innocent image to a darker, more unsettling perspective. By transforming comedy into a threat, "Clown Phobia" challenges the audience to confront their own views on fear and the unknown.
