Born in Singapore in 1964, she graduated from Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts and Shanghai Academy of Traditional Chinese Painting. In 1986, she represented Singapore and participated in the 4th ASEAN Youth Art Camp. She has participated in joint exhibitions locally and abroad in Kajuraho, Kashmir, India, the Soviet Union, Chulalongkorn University in Thailand, the Philippines, Indonesia, Romania, Japan, Vietnam, China etc
