Artwork Description: The imagery of the lotus is pure and noble; although it grows in muddy waters, it possesses a strong vitality filled with rich local cultural connotations of Taiwan. For many Taiwanese people, especially for me as a person with religious faith, it symbolizes wisdom and compassion, conveying the values of purity and love for life. The process of creating lotus artworks is, in fact, a form of Zen meditation, an experience of self-internalization.
