Introduction
The calligrapher Liu Jiekuan writes: "In the fine rain, my clothes get wet and I can't see, the idle flowers fall silently to the ground."
From Liu Changqing's "Farewell to Yan Shiyuan"
Dynasty: Tang Dynasty
Author: Liu Changqing
Original text:
Spring breeze leans against the oars at He Lü city,
The water country is chilly in spring, the sky alternates between cloudy and clear.
In the fine rain, my clothes get wet and I can't see,
The idle flowers fall silently to the ground.
The sun slants and casts a lone sail's shadow on the river,
The grass is green, and my feelings for Hunan stretch for miles.
If we meet on the eastern road, I would ask about an acquaintance,
The blue robe has now led me astray from being a scholar.
