Introduction
This piece depicts a fisherman fishing alone amidst the wind. The scene is laid out with broad horizontal strokes that portray the vast sea and sky, with layers of ink lines sweeping across the water's surface and the sky, creating a sense of continuous flow and unstable natural state. The red-clad angler sits on the sloped bank, without any boats in sight, relying solely on a line cast into the water, forming a strong contrast with the expansive surroundings.

Zhao Erda deliberately eliminates the narrative of "instrumental labor" at this moment; fishing is no longer about yielding a catch but becomes a mode of existence—waiting for an unpredictable response. Fishing in the wind is neither anxious nor confrontational with nature, but rather a leisurely and contented state of being. It is a form of enjoyment of the ease between heaven and earth.
