Artist Yao Ming's Biography: Born in February 1967 in Inner Mongolia Master of Fine Arts from Fukuoka University of Education, Doctor of Oriental Art from Kyushu Sangyo University Awards: Recipient of numerous awards including the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Japan Award, Minister of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology Award, and the Embassy of China in Japan Award Collections: Works are housed in institutions such as the Chinese Overseas Chinese History Museum, Guilin Art Museum, Handan Museum, Handan Linzhang Buddhist Sculpture Museum, the Overseas Chinese Affairs Office of the State Council of China, the Consulate General of China in Dubai, the Art Museum of Guangzhou Academy of Fine Arts, and private collections; including former Japanese Prime Minister Yukio Hatoyama and former Democratic Party leader Banri Kaieda A Chinese artist in Japan, currently serving as the Chairman of the Japan-China International Exchange Center (a Japanese NPO), Chairman of the Kyushu Overseas Chinese Federation, President of the Japan Chapter of the Global Artists Alliance, President of the Japan Chapter of the Asian Artists Association, adjunct lecturer at the Faculty of Arts of Kyushu Sangyo University, visiting professor at Guangxi Normal University of China and Shandong Linyi University, Vice President of the 21st Century Calligraphy and Painting Artists International Exchange Association, and lecturer for the Fukuoka Asahi Shimbun.
