“Drifting on the Water” was created in 1978 as a small‐scale oil‐based relief print on cardboard by Chiu Chung-Chun. The composition features a bright expanse of azure water in the background, while three or four uniquely shaped small boats stand quietly on a golden sandy shore in the foreground. Their hulls are detailed with deep browns and white lines, and bold black outlines enhance their presence. In the distance, the shoreline and horizon are linked by crisp black silhouettes, evoking a serene and expansive aquatic atmosphere.
