In her work "Dancing Together," Lee Soo-jung uses rich and layered oil painting techniques to showcase the complex emotions of motherhood and the strength of the body. The colors in the piece are vibrant, with reds, yellows, and greens intertwining to create a strong vitality and dynamism. In terms of form, the faces and bodies of the figures are vaguely visible within abstract lines and colors; through this unclear expression, Lee Soo-jung successfully merges Eastern imagery with Western expressionism. In doing so, she not only presents the primal impulses of life but also explores the multiple roles of motherhood in modern society.
