In ancient times, the Spring Equinox was described with three phenomena: “First, swallows arrive; second, thunder rolls; third, lightning begins.” This means that starting from the Spring Equinox, swallows fly back from the south, and with every rain, the sky rumbles with thunder and flashes with lightning. After the Spring Equinox, nature warms, rainfall increases, and the land blooms with flowers. At this time, the artist’s task is to capture these beautiful scenes in their paintings, not letting the springtime pass in vain.
