The high mountains and flowing waters of Taiwan are the lifeblood of the Taiwanese people. Looking down at the streams from the mountains, I see the resilience of life in the deep blue river water. The water of the Liwu River is crystal clear, like a sapphire; its blue and green currents evoke a sense of tranquility and depth. It seems to carry a thousand-year history, flowing slowly and telling countless stories.
