POST WINGS Digital Painting
Introduction
In this work, Noriki Muraki reinterprets the spirituality of mountains through unique geometric cuts and color patchwork. He transforms the mountain into a symbolic structure, no longer merely a representation of natural landscapes, but a spiritual landscape constructed from colors, shapes, and lines.
In the image, layers of blue, green, red, and gold intertwine, symbolizing the seasonal changes of nature while also hinting at the flow of human emotions. Each color block resembles the texture of mountain stones but simultaneously carries a rhythmic quality akin to music, allowing viewers to visually experience the passage of time and space.
Muraki's creation focuses on the distance between "seeing" and "perceiving." He does not simply depict mountains; rather, through abstract language, he allows the spiritual power of the mountains to be reborn in a contemporary manner. This mountain is both a natural mountain and a mountain of the inner self, embodying the tranquility of the East and the formality of the West, finding new expressions at the intersection of cultures.
