Born in 1965 in Singapore, distinguished artist Chen Jiaoyuan studied for a Master’s degree in Fine Arts at Birmingham City University in the UK, a Fine Arts degree at the University of Melbourne in Australia, and specialized in ink painting at Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts. Awards: Chen Jiaoyuan has held 65 solo exhibitions and over 100 group exhibitions in Singapore, Europe, the UK, France, Asia, China, and Southeast Asia. His works have won numerous prestigious awards, including the Great Eastern Bank National Art Competition Grand Prize (Singapore), the Dr. Chen Zhichu Art Competition First Prize (Singapore), the SIA CAAS Art Competition First Prize (Singapore), the Osaka Mayor's Prize, the Osaka Prefectural Board of Education Award, the Gold Medal at the Beijing International Art Expo, the International Cultural and Artistic Exchange Contribution Award, the Most Influential Artist Award at the Beijing International Art Expo, the Osaka Prefectural Governor Award, the 2018 OEA Outstanding Artist Award, the 2019 Golden Art Award, and the 2020 Japan Foreign Minister's Award. In 2023, he participated in the 13th Han Mo Chuan Qing Singapore President's Charity Art Exhibition.
