I have been painting the native flora and fauna of the Philippines since 2016. As a change in creative style, I am rendering the species in black and white as if taken in an ID picture studio. I started this concept in my works in a group exhibit in Japan. I wanted to paint as many fauna species in this kind of style. The black and white painting also expresses the impermanence of life on earth. That without due respect to nature, these species will slowly vanish and become extinct.
