Once upon a time, there were two monkeys living next to each other. The so-called "next door" meant on their respective mountains, separated by a small stream. Every day, they would go to the stream to fetch water and often encountered each other. Over time, the two monkeys became friends. One day, the white monkey didn't come across the blue monkey coming down the mountain to fetch water. Days passed— one, two, three— and even a whole month without seeing the blue monkey. The white monkey thought that the blue monkey might be sick and decided to go up the mountain to visit. Upon reaching the blue monkey's doorstep, the white monkey was astonished to see the blue monkey meditating, showing no signs of dehydration. Curious, the white monkey asked, "You haven't come down to fetch water for a long time. Don't you need to drink water?" The blue monkey replied, "Come, let me show you the backyard." Pointing to a well in the backyard, he explained, "Every day before going down the mountain to fetch water, I dig this well. After a long time, I finally hit water. Now, I don't have to go down the mountain every day to fetch water." This retelling of a timeless fable serves as a reminder that in life, it's essential to occasionally read a book, enrich ourselves, or take the time to learn new skills. Especially when faced with many uncontrollable factors, it prevents us from falling into difficulties. When the harsh winter arrives, having a rainbow well at home can sustain us all.
