I use the military belt, symbolizing a state of preparedness. It metaphorically represents our country's sense of crisis. I still remember my days in the military, where every day was spent on high alert, just as our nation seems to be feeling lately. In my artwork, I use rigid iron to represent that I still hold a steadfast mission to protect my country.
