Warm Blanket was a painting created the year after my first born son. It is a reaction to this. A young family brings up a child in the face of climate change. They place a warm blanket around the child to protect them. As the water is rising above the houses. The tears are tears of hope, as water brings new life with it. This painting to me is a personal piece and is painted in my classic style of bold expressive shapes and textures.
