Introduction
This painting was created by an artist nearing fifty, dedicated to his wife and the child who finally came into the world. They have endured over ten years of waiting and loss. Missing opportunities in their youth, they faced countless rounds of IVF, examinations, miscarriages, and disappointments in their maturity. His wife bravely coped with the physical side effects, emotional ups and downs, and the repeated heartbreak of unfulfilled hopes, while he stood by her side, quietly holding her hand.

One day, the doctor said, “The heartbeat is very stable this time; you can relax a bit.” Upon hearing those words, he shed tears in the examination room.

That night, he returned to his studio, hardly sleeping, and painted this piece. At that time, she was three months pregnant.

In the painting, a space that gently envelops like a womb surrounds a glowing circle, representing his deepest blessing for the child finally embraced by the world. With layer upon layer of soft, breath-like strokes, he paved a warm and steadfast pathway for the soon-to-be-born baby, while also testamenting his wife’s resilience and courage.

He said, “This is not just a creation; it is the deepest prayer of my life.”

Now, his child has been born healthy, and this painting has become a light left for all families who have patiently awaited life, endured tears and fears. His wife looked at the painting and said, “This is the one painting he wanted our child to see the most.”

This is a story about love, about faith, and about miracles. At fifty, he finally has a work that can grow alongside him beyond the canvas—his child.
